Town chairman David Sheepshanks says that UEFA should promote the UEFA Cup more than it does at present. Sheepshanks was speaking in the wake of David O’Leary’s less than complimentary comments about the competition earlier in the week.

Russian football is not something many in Britain know too much about, Sergei Baltacha apart. Torpedo are having a goodish season in the Russian Premier League which their manager Vitaly Shevchenko reckons is not as good as the English Premier League.
